CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men’s Swimming and Diving’s Will Grant has qualified for the 2024 NCAA Championships in the 200 individual medley. The senior has also been invited to compete in the 100 and 200 backstroke, with all events set to take place at IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana, March 27-30.
A native of Waco, Texas, Grant is set to make his third NCAA Championships appearance. As a first-year, Grant qualified for the 200 back and earned invitations to compete in the 100 back and 200 IM. Last season, Grant was a part of three relay teams (400 free, 200 medley, 400 medley) that earned berths to nationals.
Grant joins Adam Wesson as NCAA qualifiers after Wesson secured an NCAA spot in the one-meter diving competition yesterday at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships. And with his eighth-place showing at three meters on Monday, Wesson will have the opportunity to compete in that event at NCAAs.
Anthony Rincon, meanwhile, has been tabbed as an alternate for the 200 back. The junior finished second to Grant in the 200 back at the Ivy League Championships. Should Rincon receive the call to compete, it would mark his first NCAA appearance of his career.
