Swimming Competes At National Invitational Championships – Old Dominion University – Old Dominion University

OCALA, Fla. – The Old Dominion men’s and women’s swimming teams competed in the National Invitational Championships from Thursday to Saturday in Ocala, Florida. The men’s team placed 16^th out of 36 teams and they scored 193 points. The women’s team scored 67 points and took 39^th out of 54 teams. 
 
In the first event ODU took 36^th in the women’s 200 freestyle relay. The team of Tetiana Yevminova, Martina Ciriesi, Kiersten Donnelly and Mary Dunworth finished with a time of 1:35.68.
 
In the men’s 200 freestyle relay the team that ODU competed with featured Gustaf Hansson, Jordan Davis, Ryan Lincicum and Jamie Cleaver finished with a time of 1:22.18.
 
In the men’s 50 backstroke, Hansson placed 16^th with a time of 22.57.
 
Grey Bremer finished 12^th in the men’s 500 freestyle with a time of 4:26.43.
 
In the women’s 50 butterfly, two Monarchs placed with Ciriesi finishing in eighth with a time of 24.68 and Donnelly placing 20^th with a time of 25.68.
 
In the men’s 50 butterfly, Cleaver took fifth with a time of 21.43.
 
In the women’s 400 medley relay the team of Donnelly, Dunworth, Ciriesi and Yevminova placed 31^st with a time of 3:52.54.
 
In the men’s 400 medley relay, ODU’s team of Hansson, Mortimer, Davis and Zach Redding placed 11^th with a time of 3:15.90.
 
ODU placed 22^nd in the women’s 200 medley relay. The team featured Donnelly, Dunworth, Ciriesi and Yevminova finshing with a time of 1:43.00.
 
ODU took 22^nd in the men’s 200 medley relay. The team of Hansson, Mortimer, Davis and Lincicum finished with a time of 1:30.01.
 
Ciriesi took 12^th in the women’s 100 butterfly with a time of 54.71.
 
Redding placed 19^th in the men’s 200 freestyle with a time of 1:38.79.
 
In the men’s 100 backstroke, Hansson took 13^th with a time of 48.20.
 
In the men’s 800 freestyle relay, ODU’s team of Bremer, Mortimer, Cleaver and Redding placed 12^th with a time of 6:39.54.
 
In the men’s 1000 freestyle, Bremer placed 16^th with a time of 9:33.79.
 
In the women’s 100 IM, Cireisi placed 11^th with a time of 56.58.
 
In the men’s 300 backstroke, Hansson placed 19^th with a time of 1:48.58.
 
Mortimer took 11^th in the men’s 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:57.19.
 
In the men’s 400 freestyle relay, ODU’s team of Cleeaver, Lincicum, Bremer and Redding placed 19^th with a time of 3:01.24.
