The Japanese swimming trials for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games are now under way at Tokyo Aquatics Centre.
The first day on Sunday (17 March) featured three finals – the men’s and women’s 400m freestyle plus the men’s 50m backstroke.
The top two in each race who meet the respective qualifying time secure a quota at the Games.
The trials run through 24 March. Find the results for the eight-day competition below.
