The local council revealed why the pool has been closed to the public

A SCOTS council has announced that a busy swimming pool has been forced to close over safety reasons.
The Fauldhouse pool in West Lothian has “temporarily closed” over essential roof repairs.
The local authority said on their website that the repairs cannot be carried out until weather conditions improve.
This was announced on Friday before the yellow weather warning of wind in place today.
Storm Kathleen will bring a spell of very windy weather to parts the country this weekend.
Winds are expected to gust quite widely to 50-60 mph on Saturday, while some exposed spots, will see gusts to 70 mph with large waves also likely.

Customers were reminded that the Fauldhouse Partnership Centre can still be used.
The statement read: “Fauldhouse Pool has been temporarily closed for safety reasons.
“Essential roof repair work is required before the pool can re-open, which cannot be safely carried out until weather conditions improve.
“The remainder of Fauldhouse Partnership Centre is still available for use.”

The repairs are not related to RAAC, the council added.
It is unknown when the pool with re-open to the public again.
