CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – South High School Senior, Caleb Brewer, is leaving a swimming legacy as a Bison.
In last weekend’s 4A Swimming State Championships, Brewer took gold in the 200 Meter IM and the 100 Meter Fly.
“It’s just not something at the beginning of my swimming I ever thought would happen,” So it it’s it makes me really proud and it it makes me really happy of how everything turned out, it didn’t seem real and it didn’t seem like it would have ever happened my freshman year.”
As if the two titles were not enough, Brewer was named swimmer of the meet and swimmer of the year.
“I looked up to Jared Price. He was a senior on our team and. He won both of his individual events that year, and he also won the swimmer of the meet and swimmer of the year. I looked up to him a lot and I there was other people who were juniors that year that, you know, I looked up to these people. So now It’s just crazy to think that I can be that to somebody else and be, you know, somebody else could look up to me. It’s weird to think about and I think that it’s really cool that something like that can happen.”
