Swimming and Diving Ready for Summit League Championships – Lindenwood University Athletics – Lindenwood Athletics

Lindenwood will compete in its second Summit League Championship as a Division I member. Elliott Irwin, the reigning Men’s Swimming Championship MVP and Swimmer of the Year, sits first in the season stats in the 100 freestyle (43.62), 100 butterfly (46.50) and second in the 50 freestyle (19.76).

Patryk Winiatowski will be another swimmer to look out for as the senior ranks second in the 100 free (43.77), 100 fly (48.31), fourth in the 200 fly (1:48.99) and 100 backstroke (48.78). David Molina-Fregenal will look to defend his Diving Championship MVP crown as the junior diver ranks third in both the 3-meter (326.85) and fourth in the 1-meter (311.18).

Looking at the women’s side, Maja Piotrowicz sits seventh on the all-time league charts in the 100 breast with a season-best time of 1:01.93. The sophomore sits fifth among league leaders in the 200 breast (2:19.53) and tied for ninth in the 100 free (51.25, relay time).

Senior Stephanie Marks will look to earn more all-league honors as the senior ranks second this season in the 100 backstroke (55.34) and seventh in the 200 back (2:01.82).

Four Lindenwood student-athletes stamped their names on the League’s all-time top ten marks during the regular season. They are:
Johan Cue Carrillo – 100 breast (1^st, 52.22 – NCAA B Cut)
Elliott Irwin – 100 fly (2nd, 46.50 – NCAA B Cut)
Matheo Mateos – 400 IM (2^nd, 3:50.63 – NCAA B Cut)
Maja Piotrowicz – 100 breast (7^th, 1:01.93 – NCAA B Cut)
